Giants

I've promised access to the embarrassingly large collection of web bookmarks I've collected over the past few years and today I continue the sharing.

Today's theme is conspiracy theory or alternate history or just all the weird stuff that accumulates that mainstream science or history just can't accept or look at or even acknowledge as existing sometimes.

Our first site is Steve Quayle's. This man has been doing research on giants for many many years. He has a unique perspective on their relationship to us humans.

http://www.stevequayle.com/

Just to keep things straight I will describe the various giant theories I've run across.

Those that have only read the Bible passages concerning giants, or nephilim or anakkim, would assume that the "sons of God" described as having children with human women were using their own seed or DNA as the male contribution in making the hybrid baby. This was my understanding of the situation prior to reading what Mr. Quayle had to say. Considering how the full grown hybrid giant beings were described in scripture it's a reasonable assumption, if that's the only information source you have. This conception of the situation requires the "fallen ones" to somehow manifest physically on this plane of existence, or do something like the Holy Spirit did with Mary.

Mr. Quayle seems to think that these "sons of God" or "fallen ones" did something different than just make an angel/human hybrid. They used existing earth based DNA (animal and plant) to make the giants. And the giants weren't creatures meant to be autonomous with their own spirits controlling their bodies. They were merely vessels for the "fallen ones" to inhabit.
One consequence of this helter skelter mixing of genetic material would be all the hybrids we see in mythology. Or at least we see it as mythology because those creatures don't exist now or at least make themselves very hard to find today.

Some examples, many of the Egyptian gods had animal aspects, heads from some animal and human bodies, like Anubis with his dog head or Thoth with his Ibis head. There are many hybrid not-so-human creatures as well, manitcores, griffins, hippogriffs, nagas, sphinxes, and on and on.

There is another point of view in this as well. Some see the "sons of God" as a previous race of beings that inhabited the earth and were alive when Adam and Eve were created. Most kept faith with God but some followed Satan when he rebelled. It's the rellious ones, the "fallen ones" that made the giants.

One piece of evidence that supports this view are the people inhabiting the land of Nod when Cain is exiled. Where did these Nod people come from? I know some think they were children of Adam and Eve but the book of Genesis isn't exactly perfectly clear who these Nod people were. Or whether Adam and Eve had lots of other children or just a few or what happened to those children. We just don't know.

What we do know is the Bible mentions giants before and after the flood. Joshua in the conquest of the promised land oversees the extermination of whole cities of giants. David is known as a giant killer not just for killing Goliath but killing many other giants some related by blood to Goliath.

If you bother to notice the cities the Israelites exterminated completely were giant cities. Meaning that the creatures being killed weren't human.

Mr. Quayle has done some serious legwork in regards to uncovering historical extra-biblical sources mentioning giants. It seems that once you start looking for this stuff that giants show up in human history on a pretty regular basis and all over the world. You just have to look harder for it because mainstream history texts don't mention them and archeologists ignore them.

Yes, I said archeologists. Giant skeletons and mummies have been dug up. They span thousands of years and the entire globe in their distribution. You would think that finding an 11 foot tall properly proportioned human shaped skeleton would generate some global interest in archeology and history academic circles. But you would be wrong.

Doing research into giants will lead you into uncovering a part of human history that is mostly untouched by mainstream academia. It will also give some insight into what may lie in our future. Jesus said that the last days will be like the days of Noah. There were giants in Noah's time and violence filled the earth. Did I mention that many giants were notorious for their appetite for human flesh?

For conspiracy-related downloadable books, I like americandeception.com. The book on Atlantis was particularly cool, as was the one about the Rothschilds.

Unfortunately, about half the titles require donations to access. There's still plenty of free ones, though.
